Camila Cabello is going to Cinderella prom in the first trailer for the upcoming adaptation. The singer might make Prince Charming say “Señorita” in the new Amazon Original adaptation.
I know, shouldn’t all the Cinderella adaptations be over already?
We have the original animated version. Then, A Cinderella Story, starring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray. Which was great.
After that, Selena Gomez starred in Another Cinderella Story (no, that’s the title), with Drew Seely.
Then, the live-adaptation with Lily James and Richard Madden, who was, basically, perfect.
Now Camila Cabello is making her debut as Cinderella, who seems to go by “Ella.” This version isn’t affiliated with Disney, and Pitch Perfect creator Kay Cannon wrote and directed the movie.
In the new Amazon Prime version, Camila stars as Ella, who dreams of opening up her own shop called “Dresses by Ella.” But, there’s a twist: Cinderella wants to follow her dreams, not just marry a prince. Cabello called the character “badass rebellious dreamer princess” on the last day on set.

Alongside Cabello will star opposite English-Greek-American actor Nicholas Galitzine (playing Prince Robert) as well as Pierce Brosnan and Minnie Driver as the king and queen. Idina Menzel also switches from Queen Elsa to evil stepmom, and that clearly looks interesting. Billy Porter takes the role of the godmother, and there’s nothing more exciting than that.
