Adele finally did Vogue’s 73 Questions, and it was as enlightening as it was fun. The British singer revealed during the interview that some of the songs off her upcoming album make her cry.
Adele is about to release her fourth studio album, 30, and during the promo stage, she made an appearance on Vogue’s 73 Questions. Which, unexpectedly, were way more than that, and Adele fans were delighted to see the significance.
The British singer talked about the state of mind during her first three albums, 19, 21, and 25, and also teased a lot about her upcoming album. At the time when she filmed the interview, she hadn’t revealed the title of her next album, which is 30, but she strongly hinted at it.
Dressed in a tracksuit like a “typical Brit,” Adele gave us a tour of the downstairs of her house, and her “English” garden.
During the interview, she rated her favorite Beyonce albums, her favorite on-carpet person (Cate Blanchett), her most prized possession (Celine Dion‘s framed gum), and more.
Talking about her most challenging song to record off her 21 album, she shared it was “Don’t You Remember,” and explained: “It was sort of my attempt at a country song. It starts super duper tender and soft, which I’m not really into that. By the end, I’m wailing, which is way more my comfort zone.”
About the best advice she ever got, Adele said it was: “To keep your heart safe and your music dangerous, and I live by that,” and admitted that 30 is her most personal yet, and some songs off it make her cry when she sings them. So we should prepare either our waterproof mascara or tissues.
While it’s most typical for artists to answer just 73 questions, Adele ended up answering 95, which is the sum of all her albums so far.
