Wedding bells are in order for Douglas Booth and Bel Powley, who just got engaged. The actor shared the news on Instagram, with a picture of his fiancée and the proposal scenery.
Douglas Booth and Bel Powley met on the set of Mary Shelley in 2016. She previously told Browns Fashion, “He was playing Percy Shelley and Elle Fanning was playing Mary; I played Claire Clairmont, Mary’s stepsister. That’s when we fell in love – ahhh!”
Their romance seemed to have improved over time.
Now Douglas Booth revealed he’s engaged to Bel Powley in an Instagram post. He wrote: “Very, VERY happy! 😆 @belpowley 🥂❤️”
Bel also shared a few pictures, writing: “Football’s coming home…and so is my husband ⚽️⚽️⚽️🏴🏴🏴💍💍💍⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️🏴🏴🏴”
He added a set of pictures, one with Bel showing off her engagement ring, and the other showing off the proposal scene. The Riot Club actor seems to have popped the question during a romantic picnic in the Primrose Hill neighborhood of London.
Sam Claflin was among the first to congratulate the happy couple, writing: “YOU GUYS 😍❤️ No freakin’ way.”
Reese Witherspoon also congratulated them on both their post, writing “Well this is happy news. Congrats ! ❤️❤️” and “WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!” on Bel’s post.
