Ethan Slater‘s estranged wife Lilly Jay has broken silence on her future ex-husband’s new relationship with singer Ariana Grande, saying she’s “not a girl’s girl.“
Not long ago, news broke out that Ariana Grande and her real estate husband, Dalton Gomez, have separated and will be getting a divorce. The two allegedly attempted to get back together and that failed. According to sources, the reason of their split was distance. Since late last year, Ariana has relocated to the UK while filming for the Wicked musical.
Since then, Ariana has already moved on. Although she hasn’t confirmed her new relationship, multiple news outlets confirm that she’s dating her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater. Who was also married.
Following the news of their split, Slater has set his social media profiles on private and has officially filed for divorce from his partner of 10 years.
Slater married his future ex-wife, Lilly Jay, in November 2018, six years after they began dating. They also welcomed a son Ezra in August 2022.
Now, Ethan Slater’s estranged wife finally broke her silence on her husband’s new relationship with the “Seven Rings” singer.
“[Ariana’s] the story really. Not a girl’s girl,” Jay told Page Six. “My family is just collateral damage.”
Of course, her main focus is her son: “I am focused on rebuilding a life for our son and rebuilding a life for him,” Jay shared with Daily Mail. “This is what I am trying to do and this is my only focus.”
“The story is her and Dalton,” Jay adds.
Her breaking the silence comes after a source told Daily Mail that the singer “hung out” multiple times with Lilly and her newborn baby. Grande also reportedly told people around her she “wanted a baby one day” after meeting Slater’s son.
So far, neither Ariana nor Ethan commented on their new relationship.
