Henry Cavill is turning to a rom com next, as he has just signed to star in the adaptation of The Rosie Project. The Rosie Project is a novel by Australian novelist Graeme Simsion, published in 2013.
Henry Cavill surely will be busy in the next period.
Netflix has just announced the premiere for the second season of The Witcher. Also with Netflix, Henry will start filming for the sequel for Enola Holmes this fall. Around the same time, he’ll start working on his new spy film Argyle.
But Henry Cavill also signed up for a rom com The Rosie Project. And he’ll swoon us all.
Sony will be adapting the novel, where Henry Cavill will play genetics professor Don Tillman, who struggles to have a serious relationship with women.
There have been several choices for Don Tillman over the years, including both Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal. It eventually went to Henry Cavill, who is enjoying a lot of success these last few years.
Now it will be pretty hard to believe that a man like Henry Cavill could play a character that has no success with the ladies, but count us in.
The movie will start shooting in early 2022.
Stephen Falk will direct the movie, and (500) Days of Summer‘ Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber will be writing the script. Matt Tolmach (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) is producing the film with Michael Costigan (Ghost in the Shell).
