The day has come, and Taylor Swift owns the second album out of the six she has to re-record, and Red (Taylor’s Version) is now out. Here’s where you can listen.
This is a major win for both Taylor Swift, and Swifties.
Taylor gets to own the masters to one of the most lyrically perfect album she’s ever written (and ever, ever created, but well). And we, Swifties, get to listen to her versions with her improved, matured voice. And we have more benefits than that.
Red (Taylor’s Version) also includes the 10-minute version of “All Too Well,” almost every diehard Swiftie’s favorite song. We’ve been asking for this for years, and Taylor is now giving the recognition it deserves.
To promote the new album, Taylor Swift was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and said “All Too Well” was her favorite song, too.
“Basically, when I was writing the Red album, I knew I had a favorite on the album, it was a song called “All Too Well.” But oftentimes, my personal favorites don’t line up with singles or songs that end up having videos. I always just have these favorites that I’m like ‘that one’s just my favorite.'”
“But what happened on this album was, this song became the fans’ favorite on its own. My favorite and their favorite song aligned.”
The short film for the 10-minute version of “All Too Well” will be available later today, and we’ll have a breakdown for you ready.
Until then, here’s where you can listen to the album (until you get your CD).
