Matthew Perry Ends Engagement to Fiancée Molly Hurwitz

Matthew Perry ends his engagement to fiancée Molly Hurwitz only seven months after he popped the question. The actor released a statement and said “sometimes things don’t work.”

Matthew Perry, alongside his Friends castmates have been in the news a lot these last few weeks. The six have reunited for a Friends Reunion episode on HBO Max, and people can’t get enough of them.

But people have been really concerned for Matthew Perry. From the six of them, he looked a bit uncomfortable during the reunion. But everyone assured he is doing better.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Matthew turned up at the reunion and members of his team said he had an emergency tooth procedure that day.”

As we all know, dental procedures are often painful. So Matthew was reportedly “in pain,” which caused the slurred speech. “Obviously no one wants to film after a procedure, but it happened. The feeling was one of huge sympathy for Matthew, especially in recent days, given how people reacted online. Matthew has told those around him that he is sober, and there is no need to worry.”

Now news broke out as Matthew Perry ends his engagement to Molly Hurwitz. He released a statement via PEOPLE: “Sometimes things just don’t work out and this is one of them. I wish Molly the best.”

Matthew and Molly started going out in 2018. The two got engaged seven months ago, in November 2020.

He told PEOPLE at the time: “I decided to get engaged. Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time.”
