Netflix‘s You season 3 will be “bonkers,” boss Sera Gamble promises. The Netflix thriller will return later this year with fan-favorite killer charmer Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley).
Netflix’s You premiered in 2018. It follows the same-titled Caroline Kepnes book, and we’ve had two seasons so far. The thriller quickly became a fan favorite after its first season. Netflix jumped and gave the show a second season. And a third. The show follows charming Joe Goldberg, who falls in love with an aspiring writer named Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) when she buys something in the shop one day. But Joe isn’t the person he thinks he is, and when Beck proves to be different than his dream girl, he murders her.
The second season followed Joe moving to Los Angeles, where he falls in love with… Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti). The season ended with them happily moved into a new home, and Love pregnant.
Netflix ordered the third season in January 2020. Due to COVID-19, it took a bit longer for production to wrap up filming. While the first two seasons had the book to follow, Mrs. Kepnes released the book at the beginning of this month. Which means the third season will not follow the book, and be more independent. But boss Sera Gample promises this season will be “bonkers.”
She wrote: “The episodes are fucking bonkers. And the performances are insanely good. That’s all I’ll say about that until we are ready to talk about the new season.”
Today is our last day of shooting season 3 of #YouNetflix.

Can I brag to you for a hot second?
The third season will star Badgley and Pedretti and Saffron Burrows, who plays Love’s mother Dottie. But it will also feature newcomers Dylan Arnold (Halloween), Michaela McManus (One Tree Hill), Shalita Grant (NCSIS), Travis Van Winkle (Scorpion) and Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina).
Netflix’s You Season 3 will return later this year.
