Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer gathered together and gave new insights into the upcoming Friends Reunion Special on HBO Max.
Friends was one of the most beloved sitcoms. And yeah, I might be biased, since it’s one of my favorite shows ever. I watched Friends so many times I can actually quote them. But I’m not the only one.
Friends premiered in 1994, which is a long time ago. It ran for 10 seasons on NBC, which is a very longtime for a sitcom at that time. However, it was extremely popular. Its last episode ran in 2004, and people gathered in Times Square to watch it. So did she get off the plane?
So since a lot of movies and TV series get reboots nowadays, fans have been asking for a Friends reboot for years. But creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman didn’t feel like we needed more. And I kind of agree. If it ain’t broken…
But while we’re not getting a Friends reboot, we are getting a special Friends reunion with its main stars, and more. You can check out the guest appearances here.
But we have a new insight into the Friends reunion. The six main stars all gathered together and posed for a photo shoot and talked to People about what we should expect.
Matt LeBlanc said: “It’s funny, when we do get together, it’s like no time has passed. We pick up right where we left off.”
David Schwimmer also recounted the experience of shooting Friends as “a dream come true.”
In the interview, Jennifer, Courteney and Lisa talked about how they used to eat lunch together for 10 years, and how they always loved being in contact with each other. The three of them are still friends to this day. Jennifer is Courteney’s daughter Coco‘s godmother.
They also commented on stuff they stole from the set. Jennifer revealed she stole one of Monica’s dresses, Lisa has Phoebe’s rings, and Courteney didn’t steal anything.
Matthew Perry revealed stole the cookie jar/ clock and gave it to Lisa.
Friends premieres May 27 on HBO Max.
